Here is all the information you need regarding security checkingĀ in WP Foundry. The instructions below refer to the security page of WP Foundry:
It’s extremely easy to check for vulnerabilities in your WordPress site using WP Foundry. Simply click on the Security tab for the site, and then click the ‘Check for vulnerabilities’ button.
This will check the current plugins, themes and core for any currently known security issues. If any are found, they will be displayed in a table, along with information about the vulnerability.
The data is sourced from the WordPress Vulnerability Database API. In order to reduce the number of queries, each item (plugin, theme or core) is checked a maximum of once every 24 hours, across all sites, and vulnerability data is shared between sites. So if one site is checked, all the security data relating to the plugins, themes and core for that site are immediately available to all other sites in WP Foundry. (No data is actually shared to the other websites; the data is held by WP Foundry on your computer only.) This prevents duplicating queries and makes checking much faster when dealing with multiple sites.
